Dr. Arnar is the Chief of Cardiology at Landspitali – The National University Hospital in Iceland and is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Iceland. He is a consultant to deCODE genetics/Amgen. Dr. David O. Arnar completed his MD from the University of Iceland. He also holds a PhD from the University of Iceland and an Executive Master of Public Health degree from the University of Reykjavik.
Dr. Arnar did his postgraduate training at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City in the United States in internal medicine, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. His research interests include the genetics of arrhythmias and precision medicine.
