Mahsa Shabani is a FWO Postdoctoral researcher at Center for Biomedical Ethics and Law, University of Leuven. She holds a Bachelor degree in Law and LL.M in Public Law (Shahid Beheshti University Tehran), a Postgraduate Master in Bioethics (KU Leuven, University of Nijmegen and University of Padova), and a PhD in Biomedical Ethics and Law (KU Leuven). Since September 2012 she has been working at the Center for Biomedical Ethics and Law at KU Leuven on various research projects related to ELSI genomics, biobanking, data sharing and privacy protection. She has been also collaborating with the Regulatory and Ethics Working Group of Global Alliance for Genomics and Health initiative and euCanSHare project (a H2020-fuded project). Currently, she is a member of Ethics Review Committee of Konfido ( H2020- funded) project and is an Ethics Advisor for RHAPSODY (IMI-funded) and HeadSpace (H2020-funded) projects.
