Tobias Helmstorf is Public and Governmental Affairs expert with more than 12 years of experience in politics and the pharmaceutical industry. Born in 1978, her studied political science and public law at the Universities of Jena, Germany and Tampere, Finland as well at Georgetown University, Washington DC, United States. Tobias worked as senior campaign manager during the German national election in 2009 and as Senior Policy Advisor at the German Parliament (2009-2012). He joined Bayer in the Liaison Office Berlin, Germany in 2013.
Tobias was Policy Advisor and Sherpa to Bayer’s former CEO Dr. Marijn Dekkers, in his roles as President of the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) and Vice-President of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) from 2014 to 2016. Since 2016, he is Head of Pharma Public Affairs and lead Global Oncology Policy at the Bayer Pharmaceuticals Headquarter in Berlin, Germany.
